- San Diego's Edward Thomas hit home run #400 this week against the New Jersey Industrials. In his 2265-game career Thomas has tagged 2012 hits with 427 doubles, 119 triples and 400 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .259 with 1460 RBI and 1536 runs scored. #
- The Providence Reds were dealt a huge blow today, losing 1st round pick Andy Wright for 12 months. Wright, who was recently named the Face of the Franchise, is the second Reds player hit with a long-term injury. The team lost 4th round pick Mark Holmes to a career ending injury during Spring Training. #
- The Richmond Grays made Miguel Morato the #1 overall pick of the 1950 Inaugural Draft. The 22-year old spent the last two seasons with the Portland Timbers of the PBPL. #
