The Rainiers put the New Orleans Black Sox out of their misery with a 6-4 victory at Rainiers Ballpark and took the series 4-2.
They finished the regular season with a 90-72 mark and wound up first in the West Division. |  | Sunday, October 12th, 1958: Lockhart Batters Minneapolis for 5 Hits Seattle center fielder Lowell Lockhart went 5-for-5 today and paced the Rainiers to a 8-1 victory over the Minneapolis Moose at Rainiers Ballpark.
L. Lockhart singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
For 1958 Lockhart is batting .285 with 2 home runs, 33 RBIs and 72 runs scored. |  | Saturday, October 11th, 1958: Prado Blanks Seattle In an impressive mound performance, Felipe Prado of the Minneapolis Moose checked the Seattle Rainiers on a 4-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said the Seattle manager. "Prado kept us confused the whole game."
The Minneapolis hurler rang up 1 strikeout and issued no walks in his 6-0 shutout victory.
