Federal Baseball League News Article | |  | Wednesday, August 9th, 1950: Reiff Strong Arms Whalers in Shutout Cole Reiff of the Louisville Steamboats was in command from start to finish in his 1-0 shutout win over the Worcester Whalers. He struck out 6, walked 5 and allowed 5 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," Reiff said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
This season to date, Reiff has fashioned a 16-12 mark and 3.16 ERA in 265 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .230 against him and he has logged 176 strikeouts. | |
