Breaking News
Saturday, August 12th, 1950: Spokane Whitewashes Vetrans
Spokane pitcher Arnold Ball blanked the Dayton Vetrans 7-0, tossing a 5-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 3 strikeouts.

After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."

In 28 starts this season, Ball has recorded 7 wins and absorbed 10 losses. He has pitched 191 innings, allowed 197 hits, struck out 104 and has a 4.10 ERA.
Tuesday, August 8th, 1950: Stinson Blanks Trenton
Spokane's Virgil Stinson brought his "A game" to the park, shutting down and shutting out the Trenton Thunder 4-0. He racked up 11 strikeouts, surrendered 3 hits and issued 1 walk on his way to the victory.

Over the season Stinson has thrown 114 innings and dished out 81 strikeouts with a 7-5 mark and a 3.87 ERA.
Friday, July 28th, 1950: Spokane's Reynolds Out 1-2 Weeks
It took the Spokane team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever Dan Reynolds won't simply play through a finger blister after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Mounts-Indians game. At first, it looked like Reynolds might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 1-2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Reynolds as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.

This season Reynolds has made 6 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 2-5 won-lost mark and a 4.59 ERA. In pitching 84.1 innings, he has totaled 43 strikeouts and 44 walks.
