"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Lowry said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
So far in the 1950 campaign Lowry has delivered no saves. In no relief appearances he has 164 strikeouts in 145.1 innings with a 1.98 ERA and 9 wins and 6 losses. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Grady Anstey | ruptured ulnar collateral ligament (elbow) | 3 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 72-58, .554 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 38-27, .585 PCT | | Record on the road | 34-31, .523 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 3-4, .429 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 26-22, .542 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 21-13, .618 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 51-45, .531 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 13-15, .464 PCT | | Record in May | 20-9, .690 PCT | | Record in June | 16-10, .615 PCT | | Record in July | 12-16, .429 PCT | | Record in August | 11-8, .579 PCT |
