| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 4th, 1950: Joaquín Medina Injured, Out of Lineup
The Baltimore Lords will have to make do without Joaquín Medina for one week. He suffered a finger blister while throwing the ball in the game today against the San Francisco Missions. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the left fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Medina will miss one week.
So far this year Medina is hitting .345 with 4 home runs. |
 | Monday, September 4th, 1950: Baltimore First Baseman Nabs FBL Weekly Award
Marc Jones of the Baltimore Lords had a fantastic week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Federal Baseball League.
For the week Jones batted .550 (11-20) with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs.
During the current season Jones is batting at a .320 clip with 33 home runs and 120 RBIs. He has played in 140 games and scored 115 times.

 | Tuesday, August 29th, 1950: Lords Lose Luna for 7-8 Weeks
The Baltimore Lords will have to make do without Gabriel Luna for 7-8 weeks. He suffered a fractured hand while making a defensive play in the game today against the Seattle Rainiers. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the right fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Luna will miss 7-8 weeks.
So far this season Luna is hitting .328 with 35 home runs, 143 RBIs and 108 runs scored. He has 179 hits in 546 at-bats and a .371 OBP.
