The 22-year-old right fielder was dubbed the Federal Baseball League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .524 clip.
For the week He also chalked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 6 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Morato is batting .327 in 1950 with 50 home runs, 145 RBIs and 125 runs scored. He has 185 hits in 565 at-bats. |  | Saturday, September 9th, 1950: Morato Hits 3 Homers Against Louisville It wasn't your average day at the ballpark. The fans witnessed Miguel Morato power his way into the record book with three home runs and propel the Richmond Grays to a 10-4 win over the Louisville Steamboats.
He spoke with reporters after his historic day and told them, "I've always loved hitting in Grays Stadium. You can see the ball so well."

Rodrigo Madrid smashed three home runs in the game.
