Beat Columbus 25-6 by exploding for 19 runs in the 11th inning. Two Tarps had 3 hits in the 15 hit, 4 walk onslaught during which Tampa hit two grand slams and a 3-run HR.

Wow, what a crazy 11th!
Utility has been updated by the way.

Things are looking good again this season for Minneapolis. 1st in runs scored without a star offensive player and 4th in runs allowed with Prado starting to decline.
Looking forward to the tail end of this go around. Should be fun.
Thanks Jason for taking great care of the league. Your continued efforts and dedication are greatly appreciated.

After a great win steak in May, I thought Seattle had a chance for the Division crown, but Portland is a jugernaut. Despite going 17-11 in June and 16-8 July, I have lost 4.5 games on the Pioneers.
Should be a crazy battle for the Wild Card though.

After a few seasons of relatively few injuries, Seattle has a lot more trouble with the injury bug this year. Two more starting pitchers go down on back to back nights and then I lose another outfielder a few nights later.

This last sim Emilio Mateo surpassed Jeff Badger as the career leader in Home Runs.
Mateo has 27 home runs so far this season which is a pace far below his previous seasons' numbers. Badger has been relegated to pinch hitting duties and has 13 home runs (only 33 hits total) in 1960.
Mateo should hold the top spot on the career leaderboard for a few years, but look for young Stephen Dalton of Columbus to set the standard before he is done.

Minneapolis is cruising along with solid pitching and hitting.
Looking forward to the conclusion of the season.

Can't believe how far Badger fell off this season at only 33. Hopefully it's just a down season. He was a homerun beast.

Dalton is now 1 HR away from tying Badger's single season record for HRs.

Another sim and another Seattle pitcher goes on the DL. For the second straight year, Pedro Rojas suffers a season ender in early September. I had just re-inserted him into the starting rotation and he gave up one run in three starts.
Somehow the Rainiers have stayed hot though taking advantage of Portland's slump to grab the division lead. Ken Taylor and Daniel Brown have anchored the pitching staff despite some curious rotation decision by the bench manager.
Taylor pitched a one-run complete game victory on 9-18 and was sent to the mound again on 9-19, going five more innings to pick up wins on back-to-back days. He threw 204 pitches over those two days - Seattle is lucky to avoid another injury.
Daniel Brown also started back-to-back games but had a day of rest in between. He went eight innings surrending one run in a Seattle victory and then gave up five runs in four innings resulting in the end of the Rainiers' six game winning streak.

Weird. Did you have 7 day lineups set by any chance?
When I see players get hurt I move them to DL and try to make the best possible choices to replace them in lineup or rotation. Looking at your HTML, I see I missed that one. Sorry!
I've seen other instances where either 1) a team loses multiple players on a day and only one news story is generated or 2) no news story is generated (99% of time for real lower level guys)... but I highly doubt Rojas would fit that and you didn't lose more than one guy on the 13th.

No worries Jason - I wasn't bringing attention to it to say that moves should have been made during the sim. You already go above and beyond by "mini-managing" all teams during the sim - that is something no other leagues that I have been in do. I was just posting it to bring some life to the final weeks of the pennant race. I view it as a team going with their best guy in a crucial stretch. (I certainly can't complain about the outcome!!)
Rojas might not have hit the newswire since until recently he was only getting spot middle relief duty.
I am not sure why the AI decided to put Taylor out there for two straight days. No 7 day lineups - order was set to strict, but occasionally highest rested. The Rojas injury must have thrown things into a tailspin. I do have 7 day lineups set for tonight's sim since I wanted to start a middle reliever one day and that didn't relate well to traditional depth charts.

What a finish we're going to have! Two game sim coming on Thursday.
Two games separate three teams in the Northeast.
One game separates three teams for the Wild Card spot.Lots of injuries to a couple teams in the playoff hunt this sim too!
File, etc coming soon. ;)
